My name is Tammi, and I am a single mom of five and an instructor. I pride myself at being the best I can be in both these areas in my life. I am also deeply connected to my faith, which grounds me tremendously.

This garment was chosen because it represented a time in my marriage that was seemingly happy and full of hope. Reflecting back on this time, there is a realization that this was not real. The trunk of this tree is a representation of the life I built as a mother and wife.

The unraveling of the cords shows how this life I built was coming apart. The loss of what I thought was going to be does not represent the loss of what can still be. This "coming apart" allows me to rebuild something new and continue to create something beautiful. I get to choose how to re-create what tomorrow looks like.

A heartfelt thank you to our funders and sponsors for helping us to realize these projects in full.
