Muslimah Hameed finds joy in a variety of art forms but has a sincere passion for dance. She is a member of Kawambe Omowale African Drum and Dance Theater and has been so for 20 years. She is a strong advocate in promoting the company’s mission statement; dedication to fostering awareness of the cultural heritage of African descendants, and promoting cultural diversity. She also is a contracted artist, Board Member within the Cultural Arts Coalition and has volunteered with Free Arts of Arizona. Muslimah enjoys other artistic genres, such as photography, writing, and painting/charcoal drawing.
